Welcome
The XXXIX Biennial of Physics by the RSEF will be held in Donostia from July 15th to 19th. After the post-pandemic meeting in Murcia, we hope to continue with the face-to-face exchange of the physics community.
We hope to discuss and share advances in research, technology transfer, dissemination and teaching of physics. The Biennial will continue to support gender diversity. Support for young researchers and awards for PhD students and postdoctoral researchers will be maintained. Activities will be organized to promote physics and its contribution to society.

Letter To Division Presidents
Dear President Luis Viña and Presidents of the Divisions: On the occasion of the celebration of the XXXIX Biennial of the Royal Spanish Society of Physics in San Sebastian in July 2024, from the organisation we would like to call on the different divisions of the RSEF to propose symposia and proposals for speakers for the plenary sessions taking into account the following points:
- 1) Send before 7 June 2023 an email to Ion Errea with proposals for speakers for the plenary sessions, indicating the topic on which the speaker could give a lecture. The proposals will be taken into account by the organisers to develop the final programme.
- 2) Send before 30 June 2023 an email to Ion Errea indicating the title of the symposium that each division wishes to organise. Divisions may organise more than one symposium if they consider it appropriate.
The idea is to make suggestions for possible plenary speakers so that they can be contacted well in advance. In relation to the symposia, we ask if you intend to organise them and their title, but we do not ask for the participants.
The organisers would like to thank all the divisions for their collaboration in putting together an interesting programme for the 2024 Biennial.
